Q: Do you do hot towel straight razor shaves?

Yes, a traditional hot towel straight-razor shave from $55, one of the few in Newcastle still doing a proper one.

Q: What are your opening hours?

Tuesday to Friday 8:30am to 6:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 2:00pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Our Story

A GALLERY, NOT A BARBERSHOP.

"The gallery is the craft; the X is you."

I came up in a walk-in shop — heads down, in, out, next. Good barbers, but a model that left no room to actually create anything. So I bought that shop and flipped it: bookings only, consult-led, built around the person in the chair. I lost most of the walk-in crowd overnight. I'd rather start over than run a shop that wasn't me.

That's Gallery X. A gallery is where craft is taken seriously — and the X is you. Every cut's a collaboration, not a production line. Identity is worth the effort, and everyone deserves to look like who they're becoming. So we ask what you actually want, take the time, and sweat the finish — you walk out more yourself than when you sat down.
